We are building a next-generation AI engineering team and are looking for a passionate AI Engineer to join us in Jammu.

Role Overview

As an AI Engineer at Xelera.ai, you will play a central role in building next-generation AI-powered automation solutions for small and mid-size businesses. This is a high-impact engineering role where you will work on real, revenue-generating projects and solve meaningful business problems using modern Large Language Models and agentic AI frameworks.

Your responsibilities will go beyond basic coding—you will architect and implement AI-driven workflows, design autonomous multi-agent systems, and integrate AI capabilities directly into customer environments.

In this role, you will:

• Work closely with the tech lead and founders to translate customer challenges into technical AI workflows.
• Build intelligent agents that can understand tasks, reason, plan actions, call APIs, and execute goal-oriented workflows autonomously.
• Use frameworks like OpenAI SDK, LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, LangChain to construct multi-agent systems, tool-enabled agents, and retrieval-based pipelines.
• Architect and implement RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) flows that allow AI to work with customer-specific data accurately and safely.
• Build automation solutions for various industries (e-commerce, logistics, real estate, healthcare, IT services, financial services, manufacturing, and more).
• Participate directly in customer meetings to understand manual workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose AI-driven automation strategies.
• Develop end-to-end prototypes and MVPs rapidly covering requirements gathering, solution design, Python development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the creation of reusable internal AI modules, accelerators, and frameworks that Xelera.ai can leverage across clients.
• Continuously research and experiment with the newest AI models, APIs, and Agentic capabilities to keep Xelera.ai at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

AI Engineering & Development

• Build agentic AI workflows using OpenAI Python SDK, LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Implement multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines, function-calling agents, and multi-step orchestration flows.
• Write clean, scalable Python code following best engineering practices.
• Perform prompt engineering, model optimization, and reasoning improvements.

Customer-Focused Solutioning

• Understand customer processes by analyzing documents, meetings, and existing tools.
• Identify automation opportunities and convert them into technical designs.
• Build rapid prototypes/MVPs and iterate based on user feedback.
• Document architecture, data flows, and solution behavior clearly.

Integration & Automation

• Integrate AI agents with CRMs, ERPs, communication platforms, and third-party applications via REST APIs.
• Work with vector databases such as Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, or Qdrant.
• Build reusable internal components for future AI automations.

Quality & Collaboration

• Collaborate with the tech lead to ensure solution quality, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and internal R&D.
• Maintain clean code, documentation, and version control discipline.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Must-Haves

• Strong Python programming skills (OOP, async programming, API integrations).
• Experience with any of the following:
• OpenAI Python SDK
• LangChain
• CrewAI
• LlamaIndex
• Understanding of LLM fundamentals: tokens, embeddings, context windows, vector search, temperature, prompting strategies.
• Experience working with REST APIs and JSON.
• Ability to prototype quickly and build functional solutions independently.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Pinecone / Chroma / Weaviate / Qdrant.
• Experience with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, Slack bots, WhatsApp bots).
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Basic frontend experience (React, Next.js) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and DevOps basics
• Knowledge of multimodal models (text + image + video)
• GPU usage basics (NVIDIA stack, CUDA fundamentals)

Educational Background

• B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / M.Tech preferred, but not mandatory if skills and project portfolio are strong.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
