We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Admission Counsellor to join our dynamic team and drive student enrollment across our diverse programs.


About the Role

The Admission Counsellor will be the primary point of contact for prospective students and parents, guiding them through the entire admission process from initial inquiry to final enrollment.


Responsibilities

Counselling & Communication:

  • Provide Expert Counselling:

    Conduct professional and ethical counselling sessions (in-person, telephonic, and virtual) to prospective students and parents, offering detailed information about the university, its programs, courses, admission criteria, fee structure, and career prospects.
  • Build Rapport:

    Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with candidates to understand their educational goals and effectively match them with suitable university programs.
  • Represent the University:

    Act as a brand ambassador for MIT ADT University at various outreach activities, educational fairs, and seminars.


Inquiry & Conversion Management:

  • Inquiry Handling:

    Efficiently handle and manage a high volume of inquiries received through various channels (walk-ins, website, calls, emails, social media).
  • Lead Management:

    Maintain and update the CRM system/database accurately with all candidate interactions, ensuring timely follow-ups and status tracking.
  • Follow-Up & Nurturing:

    Implement a robust follow-up strategy for all leads/inquiries to drive the conversion of prospects into enrolled students.
  • Achieve Enrollment Targets:

    Work diligently towards achieving individual and team enrollment targets set by the management for various academic cycles and programs.


Administrative & Reporting:

  • Documentation:

    Assist candidates with application form filling and ensure all necessary documentation is collected and verified in line with university guidelines.
  • Feedback & Reporting:

    Provide regular, detailed reports on lead status, conversion rates, market feedback, and counselling activities to the Head of Admissions.
  • Market Analysis:

    Stay updated on admission trends, competitor activities, and changes in the education policy to provide relevant input for the university’s marketing strategy


Qualifications

  • Mandatory Experience and Education:

  • Experience:

    Minimum 3-6 years of proven, hands-on experience as an Admission Counsellor within a recognized educational university or institute.
  • Education:

    A Bachelor's Degree (Graduate) in any discipline is mandatory.
  • Domain Knowledge:

    In-depth understanding of the university admission lifecycle, various academic programs, and the structure of higher education in India.


Required Skills

  • Good Communication Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and proficiency in local languages (Marathi/Hindi) is a significant advantage.
  • Counselling Expertise:

    Demonstrable ability to counsel and influence candidates effectively and patiently.
  • Inquiry Handling & Conversion:

    A strong track record in managing a high volume of inquiries, implementing effective follow-up strategies, and achieving high conversion/enrollment rates.
  • CRM Proficiency:

    Experience in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software/tools for lead tracking and management.
  • Target Orientation:

    Highly motivated, result-driven, and comfortable working in a target-based environment.
