Job Overview: We are seeking an Active Safety Test Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing tests for active safety systems in automotive vehicles, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technologies. The role requires a strong technical background in automotive safety, testing, and validation processes. Deep understanding of LNCAP/ASNACP & EUNCAP Safety calculator is essential. Hands on experience on building safety strategy based on the market requirements. Deep understanding of test methods & standards are key part of this role. Skills Required Experience with simulation tools (e.g., CarSim, dSPACE). Knowledge of autonomous vehicle technology and sensor systems (e.g., LiDAR, radar, cameras). Certification in automotive safety or testing (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) Responsibilities and Tasks Develop test plans for evaluating the performance of active safety systems (e.g., collision avoidance, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control). Execute and manage test procedures, including vehicle-level and component-level testing in real-world and simulated environments. Perform analysis and interpretation of test data, ensuring the systems meet safety and regulatory standards. Work with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and simulation engineers) to ensure seamless integration of safety features. Conduct testing using industry-standard tools, equipment, and testing rigs (e.g., driving simulators, test benches). Identify system weaknesses and provide feedback to improve safety feature performance. Prepare comprehensive test reports, document findings, and suggest improvements based on test outcomes. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, safety standards, and emerging technologies related to automotive active safety systems. Build active safety strategy plans based on market requirements & NCAP. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in automotive testing, specifically in active safety systems or ADAS (2+ years preferred). Hands-on experience with vehicle-level testing and validation (e.g., sensor integration, vehicle dynamics). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and document results effectively. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for on-site testing, if required. Deep understanding NCAP & Homologation test methods and standards. Hands on experience on NCAP calculator for active safety area.
