Job Summary:

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all accounting activities. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, a working understanding of taxation, and hands-on experience with Tally ERP. The incumbent should be capable of leading a small team and ensuring all statutory and internal reporting requirements are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide, and supervise a team of 3–4 accounts executives.
  • Allocate work effectively and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
  • Ensure books of accounts are updated accurately and on time in Tally ERP.
  • Oversee all accounting entries, including purchase, sales, bank, and vendor invoices.
  • Review and verify daily transactions recorded by the team.
  • Prepare and present various reports and financial summaries as required by management.
  • Assist in the preparation and finalisation of accounts at month-end and year-end.
  • Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.
  • Keep track of any notices or requirements from government or regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate with the reporting authority to ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
  • Support the reporting authority and external auditors during audits.
  • Maintain documentation and records to support all accounting and compliance activities.
  • Identify gaps in accounting processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP.
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools.
  • Excellent leadership and coordination abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

Experience:

4–6 years of experience in accounting and team management.
