Accounts Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to manage the end-to-end financial activities of our rice export business. This role includes handling statutory compliance, export finance documentation, GST and TDS filings, and coordination with banks and internal departments. The candidate should be familiar with accounting practices specific to exports and agri-commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including bookkeeping, ledgers, and bank reconciliation
• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns accurately and on time
• Handle TDS deduction, payment, return filing, and prepare data for party-wise dues
• Issue Debit Notes and Credit Notes for buyers, vendors, and service providers
• Prepare and maintain export-related accounting data, including submission of export documents to the bank (Invoice, BL, Shipping Bill, etc.)
• Follow up with the bank for realization of export payments and regularize EBRCs on the DGFT portal
• Monitor receivables/payables and follow up for timely payments and collections
• Liaise with banks for DP payments, and working capital management
• Prepare financial reports – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
• Support internal and statutory audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com / CA Inter preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in rice export or agri-commodity sector
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, export finance, and Indian accounting standards
• Proficient in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and documentation for export transactions
• Good understanding of debit/credit note handling and party reconciliation
• Experience with DGFT portal, ICEGATE, and other export compliance tools
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with rice mills/exporters
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software like Marg, Busy, SAP, or similar
• Understanding of export incentives, MEIS/RODTEP (if applicable)
