Accounts Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Accounts Manager to lead the accounting operations across the Thenpandiyan Group of Companies. The ideal candidate will not only ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance but will also play a key role in driving efficiency, supporting business growth, and maintaining strong financial discipline across all group companies.

The Senior Accounts Manager will work closely with the Board Members and leadership team to implement robust accounting systems, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations across all group entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting standards across the organization.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle all government related queries and correspondence related to statutory filings, tax compliance, and other regulatory matters ensuring timely resolution.
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes.
• Prepare and analyse CMA (Credit Monitoring Arrangement) reports, financial projections, and performance analysis for banking and funding purposes.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including analysis of Capex and Opex to aid strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate and support internal and statutory audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting and taxation standards.
• Collaborate with business and finance leadership in driving cost optimization, profitability analysis, and cash flow management.
• Support the implementation and optimization of ERP and accounting systems for process efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounts team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA -Inter / CMA / MBA Finance / M. Com or equivalent qualification.
• 812 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 35 years in a managerial or group-level role.
• Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting operations; exposure to diversified sectors (energy, logistics, or manufacturing) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting, tax, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience in ERP/accounting systems and digital finance transformation is an advantage.
• High integrity, analytical thinking, and a hands-on leadership style.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
