Job Description

You will be joining as an Accounts & Finance Executive at International Institute of Technology, Design and Management Visakhapatnam (IITDM Vizag), reporting directly to the Director. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around financial management, compliance, taxation, planning, analysis, internal controls, and leadership. Here's a breakdown of your key responsibilities: Financial Reporting: - Supervise day-to-day bookkeeping activities ensuring accurate and efficient financial records. - Prepare timely financial statements for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing. Statutory Compliance and Audit: - Lead the statutory audit process and ensure timely completion without significant observations. - Coordinate with auditors to address any issues and maintain compliance with financial regulations. Taxation: - Oversee GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance including filing returns accurately and on time. - Collaborate with tax auditors and consultants for audits and return filings. Management Information System (MIS): - Prepare and present MIS reports for senior management. - Review expense reports and ensure timely submissions from departments. Financial Planning and Analysis: - Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. - Provide strategic insights through detailed financial analysis. Internal Control and Policy Development: - Strengthen internal controls and financial policies for accurate reporting and operational efficiency. - Formulate and implement policies aligned with institutional objectives and lead initiatives for process automation. Strategic Financial Leadership: - Collaborate with senior management for strategic decision-making and long-term planning. - Participate actively in Purchase Committee and Finance Committee to ensure financial governance. Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management: - Supervise and mentor finance and accounts team ensuring adherence to standards and policies. - Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies. Societies Act Compliance: - Ensure compliance with Societies Act laws and documentation requirements. - Provide guidance on legal and financial matters related to the governance of societies. Qualifications: - Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. MBA in Finance or technical qualifications advantageous. - Experience: 2-3 years in finance and accounting roles, preferably in academic institutions, manufacturing industries, or large-scale organizations. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting, accounting standards, compliance, and experience with accounting software. - Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, proactive approach. - Competencies: Stakeholder management, financial acumen, leadership, process automation. This is a full-time position with benefits including flexible schedule, provided food, life insurance, paid time off, and provident fund. The work location is in person with a day shift schedule. Preferred education is Bachelor's, required language is English, and Chartered Accountant certification is mandatory.,
