Job Description

As an Accounting & Reporting (ATR) Specialist for a subset of countries within the CEMEA region, your role will involve supporting and actively contributing to the ATR function's strategy and vision. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring accurate recording, summarizing, and reporting of transactions in compliance with policies, US GAAP, IFRS, and other statutory requirements. - Timely filing of local statutory financial statements and tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.). - Collaborating with the ATR team and other stakeholders to assess process requirements and propose procedural changes for enhanced data quality. - Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to support accurate accounting and reporting. - Supporting external audit processes and driving efficiency through process automation. - Participating in projects aligned with the company's strategy and assessing the financial impact of changes to accounting policies and procedures. Key Results expected from you include: - Timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. - Maintenance of accurate accounting records compliant with corporate policies, GAAP, SEC, and SOX. - Effective communication with stakeholders and project management skills to drive projects to completion. - Timely resolution of external audit issues and implementation of assigned projects/duties. In terms of decision-making, you will be responsible for: - Supporting appropriate accounting treatment decisions and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. - Identifying process changes to improve controls, productivity, or quality of work output. - Escalating issues to ATR Leadership and liaising with auditors and tax authorities with recommended action plans. Qualifications required for this role: - Degree in Accounting with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent). - 3-7 years of relevant accounting and reporting experience in a multinational company. - Hands-on experience with US GAAP/IFRS and statutory requirements. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exposure to external audit, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Technical skills required include: - Strong technical accounting skills and experience in researching accounting issues. - Knowledge and experience in controls, risk management, and SOX compliance. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Oracle, Ariba, Hyperion, and automation tools. In addition, you are expected to demonstrate: - Strong business ethics, relationship-building skills, and a solution-oriented mindset. - Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change.
