Accountant

Accountant Job Description We are seeking a proficient accountant for our Mumbai-based business who will manage day-to-day accounting and financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: •    Use Tally accounting software expertly, including working with customized Tally add-ons and troubleshootings as needed. •    Maintain accurate financial records, manage ledgers, and generate financial reports. •    Handle GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance including timely submission of all data to the tax consultant for further calculations, payments and returns. •    Manage banking operations related to documentation of exports & imports, payment reconciliations, and salary processing.  •    Communicate effectively with vendors and customers regarding payments and financial queries. •    Work collaboratively and positively with all team members, contributing to smooth financial workflows. •    Perform basic Excel operations for data management and reporting. •    Maintain reasonable typing speed for timely data entry tasks. •    Apply smart working practices to optimize processes and improve accuracy. Required Skills & Qualifications: •    Proficiency in Tally ERP software, including GST and TDS modules. •    Good knowledge of GST, Income Tax regulations, and compliance requirements. •    Reasonably good command of English for communication and documentation. •    Ability to work well in a team and maintain good professional relationships. •    Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. •    Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach to financial data. •    Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders. •    Experience in banking and payment processes relevant to import-export and payroll.
