Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, bank transactions).
Manage general ledger, journal entries, and ensure proper documentation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Finance & Reporting

Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts regularly.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Prepare MIS reports and share insights with management.

Compliance

Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.

Fees & Branch Operations (Education Sector Specific)

Monitor student fee collection and maintain accurate fee records.
Coordinate with branch teams for fee reconciliation and reporting.
Ensure accuracy in tuition fee entries and receipts.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com / M.Com preferred).
25 years of experience in accounting (education sector experience is an added advantage).
Proficiency in Tally ERP / MS Excel / Accounting software.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements

Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
