Accountant

Job Title: Accountant Location: Kanpur (Dabauli & Nawabganj) Job Type: [Full-Time] Reports To: [Business Owner]: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial records, ensure regulatory compliance, and support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be well-versed in accounting principles, and contribute to financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions. Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and budgets. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments. Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.). Assist in preparing for audits and liaising with auditors. File monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and reports. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Monitor internal controls and suggest improvements to financial systems. Provide financial insights and recommendations to management. Required Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter/Final preferred). Proven experience (2–5 years) in accounting or financial management roles. Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems). Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience in [industry-specific accounting – e.g. manufacturing]. Familiarity with cloud accounting software. Knowledge of payroll processing and HR compliance.
