Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 3-8 years of proven expertise in handling accounts within the NGO or Real Estate sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and preparing accurate financial reports to support organizational transparency and donor requirements. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate books of accounts as per NGO accounting standards. Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Handle grant accounting, donor reporting, and fund utilization statements. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including TDS, GST, PF, ESIC, FCRA, and Income Tax. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation. Monitor project-wise fund allocation, budget utilization, and variance analysis. Coordinate with program teams to ensure proper documentation of expenses and fund disbursement. Maintain records of fixed assets, advances, and vendor payments. Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and donor reporting requirements.   Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of NGO accounting standards and FCRA compliance. Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar). Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis. Attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills for coordination with internal teams and donors. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (M.Com /CA Inter preferred). 3-8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in an NGO / Real estate or non-profit sector. Knowledge of FCRA, NGO audits, and donor compliance is mandatory. Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
