Position Overview: The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components for various engineering projects. This role demands expertise in electrical lighting, power systems, extra-low voltage services, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, earthing, preparation of load sheets and technical data sheets, DBR, and project reports. The candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and will possess strong problem-solving abilities in real-time design challenges. Roles and Responsibilities: Design electrical systems, components, and power distribution according to project specifications and industry standards. Develop detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD or other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks). Perform system simulations, load calculations, and power distribution studies, short circuit studies, cable schedules, and lighting schedules. Select appropriate electrical materials, components, and systems that meet safety, efficiency, and budgetary requirements. Collaborate/coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into overall designs.
