Accountant

1: Core Accounting Knowledge

· Strong understanding of accounting principles (Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance)

· Day-to-day accounting entries in Tally / ERP systems

· Handling cash, bank, sales, purchase, and expense accounting

· Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)

· Maintenance of accounting records and documentation

· Basic knowledge of indirect taxes (GST / VAT structure)

2: Taxation & Compliance Knowledge

· Complete handling of GST compliance:

o GST registration, return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)

o Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation

o GST audits and departmental queries

· VAT compliance (where applicable):

o VAT returns, assessments, and reconciliations

· TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing

· Coordination with auditors and tax consultants

· Ensuring statutory compliance as per applicable laws

3: Finalization & Strategic Accounting Knowledge

· Finalization of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements

· Preparation of schedules, notes to accounts, and financial statements

· Handling statutory audits, tax audits, and assessments

· Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

· Preparation of MIS reports for management

· Supervising and mentoring junior accountants

· Advising management on tax planning and compliance improvements

Key Skills & Competencies

· Expertise in Tally / ERP accounting software

· Strong command over GST, VAT, and Balance Sheet finalization

· Advanced MS Excel skills

· Analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Leadership and team-handling skills

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Educational Qualifications

· B.Com / M.Com

· CA Inter / CA / CMA preferred

Experience

· Minimum 2-5 years of relevant accounting and taxation experience

· Proven experience in GST, VAT, and Balance Sheet finalization

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
