Job Overview:

FirstStartup.in is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Management

• Maintain and update financial records with accuracy and integrity.
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper classification.

1. Financial Reporting

• Prepare and analyze periodic financial statements.
• Generate insightful financial reports to support management decisions.

1. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Track budget performance and highlight key variances.

1. Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all GST, tax, and other statutory regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns and related documentation on time.

1. Auditing Support

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
• Address audit queries and implement recommended improvements.

1. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor payments and manage client invoicing efficiently.
• Regularly reconcile vendor and customer accounts.

1. Financial Analysis

• Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities.
• Provide actionable insights to guide strategic planning.

1. Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow Management

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.

1. Regulatory Compliance & Policy Implementation

• Stay updated on accounting and tax regulation changes.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum

  2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of GST, taxation, Tally, and Zoho Books.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  and general accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
