Accountant

Role : Accountant

Location : Alwarpet – Chennai

Role:

As an Accountant, you will take ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and tax filings. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing accurate financial statements. In this role, you will work directly with the COO and Co-Founder, providing strategic financial insights that support decision-making and business growth.

Roles & responsibilities:

· Prepare and analyze financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow projections

· Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

· Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny and accounting process.

· Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and audits.

· Oversee payroll processing and expense management

· Implement internal controls and streamline accounting processes

· Support strategic decision-making with financial insights

· Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies

· Maintain accurate financial records in Tally and Zoho Books

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

· Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Strong skills in numbers, Excel, Tally, and Zoho.

· Attention to detail with a problem-solving mind-set and organizational skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.

· Three to five years of accounting experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month

• Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
