Role Overview

Accountant – Bookkeeping

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Record and manage

  journal entries, ledgers, and expense categorization

  .
• Ensure

  timely bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations

  .
• Process invoices, vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and payments.

2. Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure

  GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

  with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and CA firms for filings.
• Prepare

  monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  for management.

3. ERP & Systems (Zoho/Equivalent)

• Maintain accounts and transactions in

  Zoho Books, Zoho Expense, Inventory

  , or equivalent ERP.
• Generate MIS reports for management review.
• Support system-driven process improvements for finance operations.

4. Coordination & Support

• Work closely with

  HR & Admin

  to process payroll, employee reimbursements, and insurance.
• Liaise with vendors, banks, and government offices for finance-related tasks.
• Support the Director/Manager with finance insights and reports.

Candidate Expectations

• Strong knowledge of

  accounting principles, bookkeeping, GST, TDS, and compliance.

• Hands-on experience with

  Zoho Books/Expense/Inventory

  or equivalent ERP.
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel

  (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliations).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High discretion with sensitive financial data.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.

• 4–6 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.

• Exposure to

  manufacturing/industrial accounting

  will be a plus.
• Preference for candidates with

  ERP implementation or Zoho Suite experience.

Performance Evaluation Criteria

• Accuracy:

  Error-free entries, reconciliations, and compliance filings.

• Timeliness:

  On-time completion of monthly closing, GST/TDS returns, and reporting.

• System Efficiency:

  Effective use of Zoho/ERP for automation and reporting.

• Compliance Readiness:

  Audit preparedness and clean financial documentation.

• Proactivity:

  Identifying and solving finance process gaps.
