Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to support our accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate records of day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts) and perform day-to-day daybook keeping.

· Responsible for meticulous book handling and maintenance of all financial records.

· Mandatory expertise in using Tally (Tally ERP 9/Prime) for accounting and reporting.

· Handle all procedures related to GST filing, including calculation, payment, and timely submission of returns.

· Ensure full compliance and accurate filing for statutory dues like ESI (Employee State Insurance) and PF (Provident Fund).

· Manage the calculation, deduction, deposit, and return filing for TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and maintain records for other statutory compliance.

· Conduct thorough and timely bank account reconciliation and reconcile vendor accounts.

· Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.

· Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and support to cooperate with the external auditor during audits.

· Help prepare monthly or quarterly financial reports.

· Support inventory and stock audits.

· Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements.

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field
• 4 years of experience in accounting (FMCG or manufacturing sector preferred)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and GST
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills in Malayalam and English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with stock or inventory management
• Knowledge of e-invoicing and TDS filing
• Experience with bank reconciliations and petty cash handling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
