Position Summary:

Academic Counsellor

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents regarding course options, academic pathways, and career goals
  
• Provide accurate information about programs, colleges/universities, entrance exams, fees, and eligibility criteria
  
• Conduct one-on-one or group counselling sessions (online and offline)
  
• Follow up with leads and inquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, or in-person meetings
  
• Maintain detailed records of student interactions and applications
  
• Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to convert leads into enrollments
  
• Assist with application forms, documentation, and interview preparation
  
• Stay updated with changes in education trends, entrance requirements, and industry developments
  
• Represent the institution at education fairs, seminars, or webinars if required
  
• Meet or exceed weekly/monthly counseling and conversion targets

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Masters preferred)
  
• 0-1 years of experience in academic counselling, student support, or admissions (freshers with great communication also welcome)
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Empathetic listener with a student-first mindset
  
• Confident in public speaking and presenting to students or parents
  
• Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with students of diverse backgrounds
  
• Organized, self-motivated, and target-driven
