Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team. The role involves guiding students on academic pathways, course selections, career options, and personal development strategies to help them succeed in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a passion for education, and the ability to provide tailored support to a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic counselling to prospective and current students regarding course selection, program requirements, and academic progress.
• Assist students in identifying goals, developing study plans, and addressing academic challenges.
• Guide students on career options based on their academic background, interests, and strengths.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, counselling sessions, and academic plans.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and other departments to support student success and retention.
• Organize and conduct orientation programs, academic workshops, and informational seminars.
• Assist in enrollment processes, admission counselling, and lead follow-ups when required.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely interventions for students at academic risk.
• Stay updated on institutional policies, curriculum changes, and higher education trends.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in academic or career counselling (preferred).
• Freshers with strong communication and interpersonal skills may also be considered.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Empathetic and student-centric approach.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Knowledge of academic advising systems or CRM tools (a plus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
