Yoga Teacher (Asana focused) & Yoga Content Lead
Abhayaranya ashram, Rishikesh Yogpeeth, near Rishikesh, Landmark: Near Patna waterfall

Candidate must be willing to live Onsite in twin-share / shared room
8 Hrs of working everyday for 6 Days, 1 Day in 7-Days to be ‘Weekly off’ on an average. This works out to approx. 200 Hrs of working hours in a month and due to classes scheduling some weeks can have more load than others
Primary - to Head of Yoga Teaching
Secondary - to Head of Digital Marketing and Content
1) Teacher to Retreat and 200Hr YTT: must experience in Asana (Hatha Yoga) plus one additional discipline either Pranayama, Meditation, Mantra-chanting, Anatomy, Philosophy
2) Good spoken english skills to provide instructions and monitor class progress and class management independently
3) Good ability to understand English including spoken English from students of various country background
4) Extremely punctual and sharp time management skills as a Teacher to command respect from students and guests
5) Understanding of discipline (e.g. dress code, behaviour expectations) from Yoga teaching role and ability to follow them in the classroom
1) Research Yoga trends from a variety of online content and come up with ideas on powerful blog topics that can show our ‘knowledge leadership’ in world of Yoga
2) Review and sometimes write (only some parts) of Blogs. Review is a big part and needs to be with limited AI tools. You will be doing this with support from Content team at Rishikesh Yogpeeth and with external agency
3) Translate a Yoga topic given by the Content team into ideas on ‘how can we show the message’ through Social media videos like Reels, Carousel posts and Stories etc.
4) Participate as a “teacher (actor)” in Social Media video and other content from time to time. This is where either you are yourself the “actor” doing the Asana, or talking about a mantra or a philosophy topic or you are a teacher in Video and another person is “acting as a student” and you are guiding them
5) Once every 3 months prepare content for a suitable topic workshop and then present and discuss this with our ex-student alumni group
6) Two times in a week participate in Content review meetings (1 hour each) so that RYP is on top of its Content and Community engagement vs. its competition
Proven experience teaching Asana (Hatha Yoga) plus at least one additional discipline such as Pranayama, Meditation, Mantra‑chanting, Anatomy, or Yoga Philosophy. Prior experience leading 200‑Hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) or retreats is highly desirable.
Ability to clearly deliver instructions in spoken English; monitor and guide class progression independently; communicate effectively with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Demonstrated punctuality; reliable scheduling; ability to lead multiple yoga classes per day (3 classes ≈ 4‑5 hours); maintain discipline and structure in class settings; manage transitions smoothly.
Understanding of and adherence to expected discipline—both in behaviour and appearance (e.g., dress code, class etiquette); ability to command respect through consistency, respectfulness, and personal integrity.
Sensitivity to varying levels of experience among students; ability to adjust pace and approach; open to feedback; capacity to support, correct and encourage while maintaining safety and alignment.
Ability to research and interpret global trends, topics, and evolving discussions in the world of yoga, including philosophy, wellness, therapy, and lifestyle. Should be able to generate impactful blog topic ideas that reflect Rishikesh Yogpeeth’s knowledge leadership and spiritual authenticity.
Experience reviewing long-form yoga content (blogs, articles) for accuracy, coherence, and alignment with yogic values. Must be able to collaborate with a content team and external agency. Ability to write or edit small sections when necessary is a plus. Comfortable reviewing AI-assisted content with a critical eye.
Confident appearing on video—as a yoga teacher, guide, or narrator. Should be comfortable demonstrating asanas, chanting, or speaking on yogic themes in a natural, relatable, and visually appealing manner. Experience in media production or on-camera work is an asset, but not mandatory.
Ability to design and present quarterly workshop content for RYP’s alumni group. Should be able to identify relevant and timely themes, structure learning outcomes, and engage meaningfully with past students. Also participate in regular content meetings (twice weekly) and help shape the direction of RYP’s broader content efforts.
