Role Description

We are seeking a full-time WordPress Developer for an on-site role located in Chennai. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites, implementing responsive web design, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. The developer will also work on front-end and back-end web development tasks, collaborating with design and marketing teams for website enhancements.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented WordPress Developer with 0–3 years of experience to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and plugins, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites.
• Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins as per requirements.
• Convert PSD/Figma/Adobe XD designs into functional WordPress themes.
• Implement SEO best practices and optimize websites for speed and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to WordPress websites.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver projects on time.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS (installation, configuration, theme & plugin customization).Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Elementor, WPBakery, Divi or similar page builders.
• Understanding of REST APIs, third-party API integration (preferred).
• Knowledge of website optimization, caching, and security practices.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub (a plus).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 0–3 years in WordPress development (internship or full-time).
• Portfolio: Showcase of previous WordPress projects (preferred).

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
