WordPress Developer

This role requires a strong understanding of industry trends, responsive/adaptive design, and the full web development process — from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Design and implement new features, functionalities, and enhancements based on client requirements.
• Create responsive, user-friendly layouts and convert wireframes into functional themes.
• Guide and manage website architecture for optimal performance.
• Install, customize, and troubleshoot WordPress themes and plugins.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, maintaining consistent styling.
• Respond to integration requests from front-end developers and other team members.
• Regularly back up websites and ensure smooth migration between staging and live environments.
• Test and debug code, optimizing for speed and responsiveness.
• Fix UI-related issues and improve user experience.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver seamless solutions.
• Client technical communication

WordPress Developer requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their rectifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Knowledge of WordPress front end and backend development
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
• Previous experience creating scalable applications.
