VoIP Support Engineer (NOC)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The VoIP Support Engineer NOC (Network Operations Centre) is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting Voice over IP (VoIP) networks to ensure high availability and optimal performance. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, troubleshooting VoIP and Dialer issues, ensuring uptime and performance, and providing technical support and solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities -

  • Monitor the VoIP network infrastructure using NOC tools and dashboards.
  • Perform real-time monitoring of SIP trunks, Active Calls, CDR, Account Balances and Routing & Switching.
  • Provide technical support to customers using A1 Communications products via chat and calls.
  • Lead response efforts to NOC notifications , ensuring quick resolution Dialer & VOIP related issues
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts (24x7).

· Ensure clear communication of schedule and expected resolution of NOC incident tickets to clients, technical support staff, and management.

  • Conversational English-speaking and communication skills (must be able to handle customer interactions professionally).
  • Technical issues. Prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient handling of incidents and service requests.
  • Identify and troubleshoot VoIP-related issues, including call quality, latency, packet loss, and jitter.
  • Analyze call logs and traffic patterns to resolve service interruptions.
  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for VoIP issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers if needed.

Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 + years of experience in VoIP NOC or Call Centre Infrastructure support.
  • Must having strong knowledge in VICIdial, GoAutodial or PBX System.
  • Familiarity with VoIP platforms like Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX, Elastix, FusionPBX, and VoIP soft switches.
  • Hands-on experience with SIP, RTP, VoIP protocols, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be capable to troubleshoot and Manage VICI-Dialer / PBX / VOIP / Network related issues and following up with service providers both internal and external during Incident.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
  • Configure and maintain VoIP equipment, such as IP PBXs, VoIP phones, and routers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
