Video Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Video Engineer to join our growing team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal and client-facing video delivery tools and infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the AVA video browser tool and managing automated video export processes that deliver daily video content to customers.

This role requires a mix of backend and UI development skills, working closely with various technologies and third-party APIs. You will have the opportunity to solve real-world video processing challenges, contribute to the delivery of high-quality video content, and help scale systems that impact global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance video delivery tools including the AVA video browser and export pipeline.
• Integrate and test APIs and third-party systems for compatibility and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve video encoding/decoding and delivery issues using ffmpeg and related tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement scalable solutions.
• Optimize performance of multi-threaded processes and ensure system reliability.
• Document technical implementations and contribute to continuous improvements in processes and infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Python development.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in C# development.
• Hands-on experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).
• Proficient in working with third-party APIs and integrations.
• Strong working knowledge of ffmpeg CLI for encoding, decoding, and video manipulation tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing multi-threaded software systems.
• Familiarity with Telerik WPF UI Controls.
• Prior experience in building systems for automated or unmonitored video processing.

Work Hours & Collaboration:

• Overlapping with U.S. Eastern Time (EST)
• Candidates should be self-driven and capable of working independently while effectively communicating with U.S.-based teams
