Job Title: Video Editor

Experience: 2+ years

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, go-getter & versatile Video Editor with creativity.

This role is responsible for the full video post-production lifecycle, from assembling raw footage to delivering polished, final products for various platforms. Approximately 20% of your time will be dedicated to content writing tasks, including creating scripts, writing social media copy, & developing captions to support our video content.

Video Editing (80%)

•Edit & assemble raw footage into high-quality, engaging video content for our website, social media channels, & marketing campaigns

•Trim footage segments, input music, dialogues, graphics, effects & create rough & final cuts

•Manage all technical aspects of video recording & editing, ensuring logical sequencing & smooth flow

•Develop motion graphics, titles, & other visual effects to enhance video production value

•Color-correct & grade footage to maintain visual consistency & brand guidelines

•Optimize videos for different platforms (e.g., social media, YouTube) & formats, considering aspect ratios & technical specifications

•Continuously discover & implement new editing technologies & industry best practices

Content Writing (20%)

•Collaborate with stakeholders to create compelling micro-scripts for short-form video content

•Draft engaging social media captions & descriptions to maximize audience engagement & organic reach

•Create compelling video titles & accompanying copy to increase click-through rates

•Assist in brainstorming new content ideas & strategies across all media platforms

•Ensure all written content aligns with the brand's voice & tone

Skills/Qualifications

•Proven work experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects

•Solid experience with digital editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects & Photoshop. Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus

•Excellent storytelling & creative skills, with a keen eye for detail

•Strong verbal & written communication skills with a focus on grammar, syntax, & style

•Creative & strategic mindset

•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & work effectively under tight deadlines

•Familiarity with marketing, SEO, & social media trends is a plus

•Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is desirable
