Job Description

In this role of Vice-Principal, you will have academic leadership responsibilities, including developing systems for Examination, Curriculum Planning, Syllabus coverage, Remedial Teaching, Organising Olympiads, Co-curricular activities, Sports, Teacher Professional Development, and Board Examination preparedness. On the administrative side, you will be involved in staff appraisal, new admission, school publication management, Library resource management, Staff Retention & Promotion, PTA, Systemic Communication, Students Support, IT integration in teaching-learning, and assessment. Your key responsibilities as Vice-Principal will include: - Assuming supervision in the absence of the Principal and providing leadership in school administration. - Assisting in formulating school policies, plans, goals, and objectives to achieve the school's Vision, Mission, and Objectives. - Implementing Board instructions related to curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities, and ensuring healthy development in these areas. - Proposing teaching staff recruitment, furniture procurement, and necessary facilities ahead of each academic session. - Overseeing safety arrangements, water supply, canteen facilities, and maintenance of school premises. - Facilitating the admissions process, school timetable preparation, teacher duties allocation, and examination conduct. - Organizing special instruction for SEN/LD students, counselling sessions, and educational excursions. - Planning syllabus implementation, assigning duties to teachers, conducting proxy classes, and orienting new staff members. - Ensuring punctuality, updating teachers on upcoming activities, supervising student activities, and managing student schedules. - Coordinating curricular and co-curricular activities, conducting exams, arranging remedial classes, correcting answer sheets, and reviewing textbooks. - Portraying an effective role model for staff, students, parents/guardians, and community members. - Assisting in discipline maintenance, interpreting school programs to the community, and establishing parent-teacher associations. Key skills required for this role include counselling, staff appraisal, disciplinary responsibility, student activities supervision, IT integration, academic leadership, school administration, communication, leadership, safety management, remedial teaching, and curriculum planning. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be required to check relevant registers, manage school publications, logbooks, and assessments, and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
