Role description

Core Responsibilities:


  • Proposal Underwriting (Detailed Due diligence and Evaluation of Proposals)

  • Detailed analysis of Financial statements and models

  • Business/ Industry / Product/ Technology / Management/ Infrastructure and other Risk analysis

  • Forecasting future financials and analysis of repayment capabilities

  • Understanding in detail various Legal matters and/ or various negative s received during sanction/ review, assessing the risk and recommending views.

  • Co-partner with business teams to manage end to end credit approval

  • Policy & SOP adherence/ Recommend deviations raised and documented in compliance with credit policy.

  • Preparation of credit note and approval/ decline sign-offs on every proposal regarding requests/ eligibility, bankability and compliance as per the credit policy and recommendation/ presenting to the sanctioning authority for approval,

  • Engagement in negotiation, documentation and disbursement process

  • Timely review of portfolio

  • Portfolio monitoring and identifying Early Warning Signals and take appropriate steps to ensure NIL delinquencies  

  • Customer/ Project/Site visits and continuous engagements

  • Liaising with Internal teams (Business/ risk & Compliance/ Internal auditors / Operations/ Legal)

  • Liaising with external agencies (Lenders Legal Counsel/Lenders Engineer/ Valuers/ Title Search  Advocates/ Rating Agencies/ Security Trustee/ Lenders/ Auditors)

  • Active engagement in the recovery and coordinate with multiple teams for legal related matters

  • Ensure compliance to all Audit / RBI regulations as well as processes, policies and reports as per company designed systems

  • Keeping track of regulatory changes and various Industry updates. Accessing the impact of the same on the portfolio allocated.

  • Ensuring timely submission of regular MIS/ Data Updates/ data requirement/ Minutes for the team/portfolio assigned and also attending to all Adhoc data requirements  within required timelines.

  • Involvement in IT / Automation system implementation and processes improvement initiatives.

  • Maintaining TAT for all actives including sanction/ reviews/ data requirements etc.

  • Team Management and Team Trainings

  • Participation in In-principle and representation in Sanctions committee meetings.

  • Good understating of Industries/sector, Micro and Macro environment, Regulatory Guidelines/landscape etc.
