As the Vice President of Software Engineering for Mastercard's Business & Market Insights (B&MI) group, your primary responsibility will be to define and execute a technology strategy for the Operational Insights Program. This role is crucial in enabling business growth, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. You will serve as a key technology leader, focusing on engineering best practices, innovation, vendor management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - **Program Leadership:** - Technically lead multiple products and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications, ensuring project outcomes, product quality, and developer productivity. - Share accountability for program success and financials, overseeing budget planning, resource allocation, and cost optimization. - Define and execute a strategic technology roadmap aligned with business priorities and engineering KPIs, ensuring optimal system performance and stability. - **Technology Leadership:** - Develop a deep technical understanding of product architecture, propose technical solutions, and contribute to technical discussions. - Envision future technology states, research upcoming technologies, and create solution roadmaps. - Collaborate with business partners on product definition, roadmaps, and business case development. - Drive scalability, security, and performance across software solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. - Foster innovation to enhance product value proposition and customer experience. - **People & Collaboration:** - Lead and mentor global team members to develop robust, high-quality software and create an inspiring work environment. - Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. - Attract, hire, and develop world-class engineering talent. **Qualifications Required:** - Master's/bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. - Significant work experience successfully leading and managing complex programs/projects/products. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with quick adaptation to new technologies. - Hands-on experience building large technical solutions and web applications. - Proven ability to lead diverse global teams and manage vendor partners. - Understanding of financial management and project budgeting. - Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills. - High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
