Job Description

Role Overview: You will be the Vice President, Software Engineering for the Operational Insights Program in Mastercard's Business & Market Insights (B&MI) group. Your main responsibility will be to define and execute a technology strategy that supports business growth, enhances customer experience, and ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. As a key technology leader, you will focus on engineering best practices, innovation, vendor management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Key Responsibilities: - Lead large technology teams to build innovative technical solutions for internal and external customer requirements - Provide program leadership by overseeing project outcomes, product quality, developer productivity, and managing budgets for engineering operations - Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap aligned with business priorities and drive long-term growth - Measure engineering KPIs to ensure optimal system performance and stability - Possess hands-on technical capabilities to propose solutions, track critical issues, and provide valuable insight on technology approach and processes - Collaborate with business partners on product definition, roadmaps, and overall direction - Source, evaluate, and manage vendors for product development in line with program objectives - Drive scalability, security, and performance across software solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards - Drive technology innovation to enhance product value and improve customer experience - Lead and mentor global team members to develop high-quality software and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning - Attract, hire, and develop world-class engineering talent Qualifications Required: - Masters/bachelors degree in computer science or engineering with a proven track record of leading and managing complex programs/projects/products - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with quick adaptation to new technologies and methodologies - Hands-on experience building global web applications with expertise in technologies like cloud and AI/ML - Proven ability to lead and manage diverse global teams and build highly motivated and innovative teams - Understanding of financial management and ability to manage project costs effectively - Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all management levels - High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.,
