What You Will Be Doing
- Building and maintaining deep education product expertise to inform strategic decisions
- Creating technical specifications that embody critical technical decisions and prioritize simplicity, efficiency, and long-term sustainability
- Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering processes, consistent with the strategic vision of minimizing manual labor

- Pure people management; your technical and business acumen will be the critical drivers in this position
- Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative tasks; we have automated management overhead to enable you to focus on creating business value through hands-on work

Vice President Of Product Engineering Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the CTO of one or more education products, owning core competencies and delivering business value through seamless execution and strategic decision-making
Basic Requirements
- Deep experience or interest in data-driven learning science
- 7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or significant open source technologies
- 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
- 4+ years of experience in positions with full technical and delivery ownership on a revenue-generating product
- Experience building product features that make advanced use of Generative AI
- Experience using Generative AI to simplify work processes

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
