Job Description

Role Overview: As the Vice President - Fraud Operations at Barclays, you will lead and develop a highly engaged team to pioneer an omni channel experience and achieve consistently excellent customer outcomes. Your main responsibility will be to build and maintain your team's capability to deliver excellent customer outcomes by identifying, understanding, and meeting customer needs using available tools and enablers to enhance business performance. Your role is based in Chennai. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and develop a highly engaged team to pioneer an omni channel experience and achieve consistently excellent customer outcomes - Build and maintain your team's capability to deliver excellent customer outcomes by identifying, understanding, and meeting customer needs - Create a resolution culture where leaders and colleagues are customer advocates, empowered to deal with customer requests fairly at the first point of contact - Ensure operational performance of allocated sites and surrounding touchpoints, adhering to operational and risk frameworks for all direct reports - Contribute to the overall success of Barclays by focusing on building deeper relationships with customers - Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements; and escalate breaches of policies/procedures - Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment - Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does - Collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and strategies - Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives - Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience at a senior managerial level of working with teams across multiple processes and sites - Excellent track record during past work experience with stability in previous jobs - Graduate or Post Graduate degree in any discipline - Demonstrated strong leadership skills through established coaching techniques and awareness of continuous improvement methodologies - Experience in process design/redesign and associated tools such as LEAN, six sigma - Exposure to strategic planning and working in large, complex organizations across different cultures - In-depth understanding and extensive hands-on experience in managing large Fraud Operations shop for an international bank in both US & UK environments - Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, Fraud Strategy, Vulnerability, and Regulated activities - Excellent understanding of US/UK Fraud inbound/outbound/back-office dynamics Please note that all colleagues are expected to demonstrate the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, as well as the Barclays Mindset to Empower, Challenge, and Drive.,
