Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the engineering department, providing direction and support to engineering teams. - Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the overall business objectives of Kinara Capital. - Collaborate with Product, Design, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions. - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software products and systems. - Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and best practices in software development and engineering. - Mentor and train engineering staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement. - Drive the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies. - Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements in all engineering activities. Skills and Tools Required: - Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams. - Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. - Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and think strategically. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams. - Experience in the financial technology sector is a plus. - A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
