Role & responsibilities - Lead and oversee all transportation, packing, and loading activities to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods. - Develop and execute cargo and freight planning strategies, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer requirements. - Ensure strict implementation of FIFO practices in finished goods dispatch and adherence to recommended storage conditions. - Manage workforce planning and deployment for logistics and warehouse functions. - Supervise documentation processes related to dispatch, ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Conduct regular analysis of transportation costs and identify opportunities for optimization. - Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to logistics and dispatch operations. - Serve as the primary interface for customer communication pertaining to dispatch timelines and logistics queries. - Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IMS standards including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001. - Initiate and manage change requests; ensure proper documentation and implementation of approved changes. - Administer end-to-end warehouse operations including inventory control, space management, and safety compliance. - Authorize dispatch invoices and ensure all dispatches are supported by valid and approved documentation. - Coordinate effectively with transporters to ensure reliable and cost-efficient services. Ensure strict governance and control over dispatch activities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Preferred candidate profile Local Candidate 15 plus years of experience in logistic department of manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be experienced in logistics strategy, warehouse management, and cross-functional coordination, especially within a manufacturing or renewable energy environment.
