Designcapital is a design and technology studio that merges design thinking with AI-powered workflows. We create digital products through research, strategy, UX design, and visual storytelling. This is an immersive, high-responsibility program where you’ll work on live products alongside experienced designers and product teams. We’re looking for candidates who are passionate, ambitious, and ready to invest real effort into becoming strong product designers.

Role Description:

Offline UX/UI Internship

If you’re serious about building a career in UX/UI, have a portfolio that demonstrates your thinking, and are eager to solve complex design problems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibility

• Conduct user research and usability testing, and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers.
• Contribute to design systems and ensure visual/interaction consistency.
• Present your design process and solutions confidently in team reviews.
• Maintain a strong focus on accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliverables with accountability and attention to detail.

Qualification (Non-negotiable)

• Strong portfolio (academic, freelance, or personal projects) that demonstrates UX thinking and polished UI work.
• Proficiency in Figma (mandatory). Familiarity with prototyping tools like Protopie, Rive, or Jitter is a plus.
• Solid understanding of information architecture, user flows, and design systems.
• Basic knowledge of usability testing and ability to incorporate feedback.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work full-time from our Bhubaneswar studio for the internship duration.

Preferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS for better collaboration with engineers.
• Prior internships, freelance projects, or hackathon participation.
