• Your role in the central international DesignOps team of the BMW Group IT is to implement and further develop the UX strategy within the BMW IT strategy, together with other UX specialists from the Center of Competence for User Experience (UX Live Centers).
• You further establish user centered design as an integral part of agile product development in the entire BMW Group IT including our international IT development locations (Hubs).
• You utilize the great opportunity we offer you to bring in your own ideas and concepts to create future UX/UI standards and working models within the BMW Group IT.
• You design and develop central UX/UI services and products (e.g. BMW Group design system, UX/UI toolchain, UX metrics, user feedback services, usage analytics platform) that scale throughout BMW IT product development and support hundreds of internal and external product teams worldwide in rolling out IT products that generate high end-user satisfaction and are perceived as premium in terms of user experience.
• You actively transfer your knowledge as a consultant and coach about user experience and user interface design to all departments, inside and outside the BMW Group IT.
• You establish standards for processes and methods of user-centered design at the BMW Group IT.
• You embed user-centered design as a strategic capability across BMW IT, focusing on AI-integrated workflows and platforms.
• Facilitate AI adoption within design teams, ensuring alignment with ethical standards, explainability, and transparency.
• Promote a premium UX mindset within BMW TechWorks and Hub locations, through workshops, mentorship, and community-building.
• You protect and promote our organisational UX culture, values and mindset.

• Relevant IT Degree / Work Experience / Diploma
  (human-computer interaction, interaction design, media informatics, user experience, etc.)
• 5+ years’ experience as a UX/UI Professional, preferably with leadership experience.
• Experience in the conception of user interfaces for web-based enterprise applications (ideally Enterprise applications and/or automotive environment) including responsive design.
• Extensive knowledge in user experience, user centered design, usability, information architecture and the corresponding foundations and best practices
• Extensive experience in the entire spectrum of user-centered design, from user research, to prototyping and UX/UI design to usability testing.
• Extensive experience working with agile product teams.
• Proficiency in using design and prototyping tools (ideally Figma)
• Familiarity with AI tooling (e.g., OpenAI API, Prompt Engineering, AI UX patterns) is a strong plus.

• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team.
• Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users internationally.
• Experience in establishing User Centered Design and DesignOps in large companies, increasing corporate UX maturity.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for user research, data analysis, personalization, and collaboration with data scientists to enhance UX design processes in DesignOps.
• Strong understanding of AI-assisted UX methodologies, including prompt engineering, conversational UX, and ethical implications.
