Role Overview:

As a UI/UX Intern, you will be immersed in the complete design cycle, from concept to release, ensuring every feature is not only functional but also intuitive, accessible, and delightful to use. You’ll work closely with our team, engage with the Deaf community, and help us design a platform that scales with purpose.


What You'll Do:

  • Design

    visually appealing and intuitive interfaces

    aligned with SignSetu’s brand identity and educational goals
  • Develop compelling

    graphic designs

    to enhance both usability and visual appeal
  • Create

    wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes

    in Figma (or similar tools)
  • Direct

    heuristic reviews and user interviews

    , translating insights into actionable design improvements
  • Run hands-on sessions and

    usability tests

    to ensure new experiences meet acceptance criteria and pixel-perfect standards
  • Spotlight usability wins and missed opportunities in weekly squad reviews, shaping the next sprint’s priorities  
  • Curate a living design system and test playbook that scales with the product’s growth
  • Integrate

    accessibility best practices

    , including closed captions, sign language support, and visual cues
  • Incorporate

    gamification features

    such as rewards, progress tracking, and interactive challenges
  • Design

    educational games and activities

    tailored to the needs of Deaf learners


Must Have Skills:

  • Strong grasp of layout, color theory, and typography
  • Proficiency with

    Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

  • Understanding of responsive design and

    WCAG accessibility guidelines

  • Keen eye for detail, relentless curiosity, and data-backed storytelling ability  
  • Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A
