As a Full Stack Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping the full stack infrastructure of SignSetu, utilizing Mern Stack, flutter and Python Flask to bring our vision to life. We are seeking a motivated and creative Full Stack Development Intern to join our team. As a Fullstack Development Intern for SignSetu, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the development and enhancement of our web application. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a meaningful project that aims to improve educational experiences for the Deaf community. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of developers and educators to create an inclusive and accessible platform. Responsibilities: Frontend Development: Code and work with React.js to design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive, responsive, and accessible. Collaborate with other frontend and UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience. Implement and maintain frontend functionalities to support interactive and engaging educational content. Ideation and Conceptualization: Collaborate with team to understand the unique needs and challenges of our users in the deaf education space. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for features and functionalities that enhance the overall user experience. Prototyping and Proof of Concept: Rapidly prototype solutions to visualize and validate conceptual ideas. Work closely with team to integrate frontend with backend prototypes into the overall app design, ensuring a seamless user interface. Backend Development: Code, Implement and maintain backend functionalities using MERN Stack, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and scalable code. Collaborate with other backend developers to integrate features seamlessly into the overall system. Utilize MERN Stack to develop robust backend services and APIs to support the application's functionality. Design and implement database structures to efficiently store and retrieve data related to educational content, user profiles, and progress tracking. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure user access. Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party APIs and services that enhance the overall functionality of the educational app. Ensure smooth communication between the frontend and backend components of the application. Accessibility and Inclusivity: Implement features and design elements that cater to the specific needs of Deaf users, ensuring a positive and accessible user experience. Conduct testing and implement solutions to address accessibility challenges related to navigation, content consumption, and interaction. Code Quality and Documentation: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Actively participate in team discussions and contribute ideas for continuous improvement. Actively contribute ideas for improving the overall architecture and performance of the prototype. Qualifications: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Strapi, and MERN Stack. Understanding of RESTful API design principles. Basic knowledge of database systems (e.g., MongoDB). Passion for creating inclusive and accessible web applications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently, handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work individually and as a team. Communicate in English fluently. This is an online internship position with a duration of 3 months, starting immediately this week.
