UI Designer

Role Overview

We're seeking a passionate UI Designer to contribute to our design strategy and translate it into a simple and intuitive experience for our clients. You will be responsible for turning complex workflows into visually appealing and easy-to-use design solutions. With extensive experience and a deep understanding of user interface design principles, you will prioritize design challenges and integrate innovative solutions into the product roadmap.

Additionally, you will mentor and coach UI designers, fostering the development of a world-class design team by providing well-documented, actionable feedback on product and design.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the UI Designer in the Delivery team, you shall be responsible for but not limited to:

• Own and lead the UI Design delivery for multiple assigned projects.
• Work closely with Product Consultants, UX designers, UI Designers, and Design Leads to ensure top-quality delivery for clients.
• Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and delivery of high-quality designs.
• Manage, guide, and mentor a team of associates and UI designers by providing support as necessary.
• Fulfill delivery timelines and manage project deadlines efficiently.
• Ensure all relevant insights from discovery are incorporated into solutions.
• Align solutions with the brand, target audience, and product functionality.
• Craft tailored solutions and concept stories that solve user problems and business intent, iterating and selecting the best solutions.
• Focus on creating reusable user experience and maintain a library of components, icons, colors, and fonts used throughout the product with user experience best practices (Hit area, accessibility, consistency, auto-layouts, variants)
• Transform Product goals into a set of beautiful, easy-to-use and accessible designs, such as a set of app screens.
• Provide and solicit critique on your designs as well as the designs of your team-mates;
• Take ownership of design documentation and handoff processes, ensuring comprehensive and clear records of design decisions and assets for seamless transfer to development teams.
• Conduct workshops and facilitate requirement gathering sessions with clients.
• Plan and execute design sprints, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Estimate project timelines, resources, and costs accurately to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review and share feedback on quality to junior designers and groom them to be more efficiently and deliver high quality output.
• Meet the performance goals as defined periodically.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and confident team player with:

• 3-4 years of experience in a UI design role.
• Experience leading a team and managing research-based projects.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Expertise in evaluating client requirements, providing a roadmap, and driving solutions.
• Good understanding of device form factors and design feasibility.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and communicate ideas to peers and stakeholders.
• Great communication skills; the ability to clearly explain design decisions and processes to anyone in the company.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude, actively seeking ways to improve the customer experience both visually and functionally.
