Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a UAV Aerodynamics Engineer, based in Indore. The role involves conducting aerodynamic analysis and simulations for UAV designs, optimizing the performance and stability of UAV systems, and integrating aerodynamic functionalities into the development pipeline. The engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to conduct wind tunnel testing, assess flight performance, and contribute to the overall success of the company's cutting-edge projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize airfoils, wings, and control surfaces for maximum performance.

• Proficient in lift/drag analysis, stability derivatives, and control effectiveness.

• Implement k–ω SST turbulence models and compressible flow simulations.

• Conduct full-envelope aerodynamic simulations considering various flight conditions (e.g., low-pressure, high-altitude & high-speeds).

• Analyze impacts of gusts, turbulence, and crosswinds on performance.

• Model temperature-dependent flow behavior across a range of conditions (−56°C to +50°C).

• Perform static and dynamic stability assessments.

• Analyze low Reynolds number and thin-air aerodynamics.

• Apply AI-assisted aerodynamic optimization and control tuning techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Execute high-fidelity CFD simulations using ANSYS Fluent, CFX, or OpenFOAM.

   • Proficient in CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX for surface modeling.

• Lead the complete design cycle from concept sketches to simulation, CAD modeling, and design validation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in UAV design and development is an advantage

• Candidates with strong portfolios or research experience in UAV/aerospace design will be prioritized.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in aerospace RD labs, UAV startups, or advanced university research groups.

• Strong understanding of aerodynamics and composites.
