We are seeking
a transportation engineer experienced in
designing transportation roadway and drainage engineering projects
and who has a people-first mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to make a positive impact on our organization and our communities.
Overview
In this role your focus will be on deepening your technical expertise on projects that range from road/street segments and intersection concepts to final design including the development of bid-ready construction documents. You will reinforce those technical skills by training and mentoring others, and also taking on new challenges like task leadership and getting involved in foundational aspects of project management and business development.Technical Focus
- Background in stormwater engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, grading, and design services for transportation/roadways improvement projects.
- Experience with transportation and drainage engineering design that includes increasing responsibility in the preparation of reports, plans, specifications and special provisions, and engineering & construction estimates for multidiscipline roadway design projects.
- High degree of functionality in Microstation/InRoads/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D and hydraulic modeling software (i.e., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or XPSWMM).
- Familiarity with ODOT Hydraulics Manual and Army Corps of Engineers Slopes V standards, as ell as understanding regional stormwater regulations and stormwater design manuals.

Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience related to technical focus areas referenced above.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state where you will primarily deliver work or EIT with the expectation to obtain PE within one year.
- Clear passion for transportation and experience as a consultant.

The range for this position is $98,000-125,000, which is a combination of your base salary
plus an employer-funded 401K retirement contribution.
Position in this range is determined by candidate’s experience and office location.
