Transportation Engineer

This position requires collaboration with urban planners, civil engineers, government agencies, and contractors to ensure that all transportation systems meet technical, environmental, and safety standards.

• Develop and design transportation systems including roads, highways, intersections, transit systems, and pedestrian/bicycle paths.
• Conduct traffic studies, analyze traffic patterns, congestion, and flow to propose improvements or new transportation projects.
• Use software tools (e.g., SYNCHRO, VISSIM, HCS, AutoTURN) to model and simulate traffic scenarios and evaluate performance.
• Ensure that designs comply with local, state, and federal transportation codes and standards (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD, FHWA).
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, design reports, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assess environmental impacts and incorporate safety enhancements into project designs.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including site visits, inspections, and resolution of design-related issues.
• Collaborate with city planners, public officials, utility companies, and contractors during all project phases.
• Prepare documents for permit applications and assist in obtaining approvals from regulatory agencies.
