Role Overview

We're seeking a Trainee Design Engineer who will serve as the technical bridge between our creative teams and clients. This is NOT a traditional design role - you'll be coordinating projects, supporting our animation teams technically, and managing client communications while handling SolidWorks modeling tasks.

Role Split: 60% Technical Coordination & Client Management + 40% SolidWorks Modeling

Key Responsibilities

✅ Client Coordination

• Attend client meetings (online/physical) as technical point of contact
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with clients
• Handle client feedback and change requests professionally

✅ Team Support & Project Management

• Create animation storyboards and project briefs
• Provide technical briefings to 3D animators and video editors
• Coordinate with freelancers and external vendors
• Take 50% project execution responsibility under Assistant Project Manager

✅ Technical Documentation

• Create material presentations (PPT)
• Develop callout presentations and voiceover scripts
• Generate technical documentation for animation teams

✅ SolidWorks Modeling (2 Types Required)

• Animation-style modelling: Look-alike models for 3D visualizations
• Technical modelling: Detailed models for 2D drawing generation
• Create technical drawings with proper dimensioning

What We're Looking For Essential Requirements

• Fresh graduate in Mechanical/Design Engineering or related field
• SolidWorks experience (minimum basic level, but intermediate preferred)
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
• PowerPoint proficiency for technical presentations
• Client-facing comfort - you'll be talking to clients regularly
• Coordination mindset - prefer supporting teams over isolated technical work

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks: Parts, assemblies, and 2D drawing creation
• Understanding of both visual and technical modelling approaches
• Basic knowledge of 3D animation workflow (preferred)
• Project management tools familiarity (bonus)

Personality Fit

• Team player who enjoys supporting others
• Problem solver who can handle client requests diplomatically
• Initiative taker comfortable working under guided independence
• Detail-oriented for technical documentation
• Adaptable to learning new tools and processes
