Purpose/Objective


    The Project Transmission Line Manager (Site)-Tx is responsible for executing assigned segments of high-voltage (765/400 kV) transmission line projects with required productivity and alignment with established timelines, budget, and quality standards. This role emphasizes zero-harm principles and adherence to processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and efficient project progression through proactive site management, quality control, and safety adherence. Additionally, the role involves effective coordination with stakeholders, administrative support, and fostering a collaborative, skilled team environment to drive successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Project Transmission Line Manager (Site)-Tx Project Management: Drive successful execution of the transmission line section by planning, monitoring, and coordinating foundation, erection, and stringing activities to align with project schedules and quality standards. Ensure effective tower placement and routing by reviewing survey data and field conditions, verifying critical details such as extension needs and crossing points (NH, Railway). Prepare and maintain L2 schedules by planning weekly and monthly workforce and material needs, contributing to consistent project progression. Provide comprehensive reporting by delivering daily and monthly MIS to meet management's requirements for project updates. Ensure quality compliance by implementing Field Quality Plans (FQP) and IS Codes/CBIP manuals at the site and certifying all material and work quality against established standards. Compliance Management: Safeguard the project site through strict adherence to safety protocols by implementing OHS plans and conducting safety training programs at regular intervals. Promote ongoing compliance with regulatory standards by conducting regular quality and safety inspections, mitigating any potential risks. Maintain up-to-date documentation by preparing compensation records, landowner agreements, and administrative records, ensuring all necessary approvals to avoid penalties. Liaison and Stakeholder Management: Facilitate a smooth work environment by collaborating with government authorities and securing assistance from administrative officers (Patwari, Tehsildar, SDM) for landowner and ROW matters. Coordinate effectively with vendors and contractors by holding regular project meetings to resolve critical issues, avoiding additional costs, and ensuring aligned objectives. Maintain open communication with stakeholders by engaging with local authorities, arranging shutdowns, and securing necessary permissions for timely project execution. Financial Management: Support budget adherence by closely tracking expenses, managing resources, and monitoring project costs against allocated budgets. Maintain cost efficiency by overseeing expense allocations and managing vendor bills for accuracy, approvals, and timely processing. Risk Management: Ensure a zero-harm work environment by rigorously implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety checks to identify and address potential hazards on-site. Mitigate compliance risks by conducting thorough quality assessments, ensuring all activities align with regulatory standards and project specifications. Technology Integration and Innovation: Enhance project efficiency by utilizing advanced project management software and tools for real-time tracking of progress, resource allocation, and communication among team members. Drive quality improvement initiatives by integrating innovative techniques and technologies, thereby elevating project execution standards and outcomes. Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. Work Experience (Range of years): 10-12 years of relevant experience in high-voltage (765/400 kV) transmission line project execution. Demonstrated ability to resolve Right of Way (ROW) issues. Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards for transmission line projects, ensuring site adherence to statutory approvals and quality protocols.
