Role & Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Social Science lessons (History, Geography, Civics) aligned to CBSE/ICSE/State board syllabi and grade-level objectives.
• Create clear learning outcomes, design formative and summative assessments, and use results to personalize instruction and close learning gaps.
• Maintain effective classroom management—foster a respectful, inclusive environment that supports student participation and critical thinking.
• Use a variety of pedagogical techniques and digital resources (maps, timelines, presentations, educational apps) to make abstract concepts concrete and memorable.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership on curriculum planning, co-curricular activities, and cross-disciplinary projects; participate in staff meetings and training.
• Maintain accurate student records, communicate progress to parents and guardians, and support remedial or enrichment programs as needed.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science/History/Political Science/Geography or related field plus B.Ed (or equivalent teaching qualification).
• Proven classroom teaching experience at the middle/secondary level (1–3+ years preferred) with strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and Civics.
• Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE or relevant State board curricula, lesson planning, assessment design and class record maintenance.
• Strong classroom-management skills, student-centred pedagogy, and experience using basic EdTech tools (presentations, interactive whiteboards, learning platforms).
• Excellent communication skills in English (and regional language where applicable) and ability to engage diverse learners.
  

Preferred

• CTET/State teacher eligibility certification and prior experience in a reputed private school.
• Experience designing project-based learning, experiential activities, or integrating local-context resources into the syllabus.
