Designation – Textile Designer
Department: Design
Location: Noida Office
Reporting To: Senior Designer / Design Head
Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month

1. Role Purpose

To support the design team in creating commercially viable textile and rug designs through CAD development, colorways, technical documentation, trend research, and assisting in seamless sample execution across production and merchandising functions.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Design Creation & CAD Development

• Develop initial sketches, CADs, colorways, and design options as per the brief.
• Prepare print repeats, artwork refinements, and concept visualizations.
• Ensure all designs meet buyer specifications and design intent.

B. Buyer & Trend Research

• Conduct trend research related to home décor, rugs, textiles, and colors.
• Study buyer mood boards, past collections, websites, and price points.
• Prepare research reports, buyer decks, and inspiration boards.

C. Sample Development Coordination

• Work with in-house sampling and production teams for accurate execution.
• Ensure correct translation of CADs into woven/tufted/printed samples.
• Track sampling progress and flag design-related issues proactively.

D. Technical Specifications Preparation

• Create production-ready files including repeats, color separations, and detailed drawings.
• Prepare comprehensive tech packs with dimensions, construction details, and color references.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.

E. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with merchandising, QA, and production teams for timely and smooth execution.
• Provide clear design files, specifications, and revisions as required.
• Support communication during sampling, costing, and production stages.

3. Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
• Understanding of rug/textile design: weave structures, textures, color systems.
• Ability to make production-ready design files with repeats & color separations.
• Basic understanding of materials, yarns, constructions, and finishing.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory, Fine Arts, or related fields.
• 0–2 years of experience in textile, rug, or home décor design preferred.
• Strong portfolio required; freshers with good design skills are welcome.
