Your typical day will involve running the end-to-end quality engineering function, focusing on automation to improve control, accuracy, and integrity in the testing process. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the highest quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities: Automation Framework & Test Development
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using WebdriverIO with TypeScript.
- Create scalable UI and API automation suites aligned with industry best practices and clean code principles.
- Develop reusable Page Object Models (POMs), utilities, and test data management strategies.
- Implement functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios for web and Salesforce applications. Testing Execution & Quality Ownership
- Perform advanced UI testing with strong proficiency in XPath strategies, CSS selectors, and DOM analysis.
- Conduct thorough API testing using frameworks/libraries (e.g., Axios, Postman calls).
- Validate integrations between multiple systems including Salesforce, backend APIs, and UI layers.
- Perform root-cause analysis for test failures and drive continuous quality improvements. CI/CD, Version Control & DevOps Integration
- Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins pipelines, ensuring continuous execution and reporting.
- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and pull requests using Bitbucket.
- Contribute to improving DevOps processes and test environment reliability. Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and business analysts to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Log, track, and manage defects using Jira, ensuring clarity and traceability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, grooming, and retrospectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on automation best practices. Professional & Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in test automation with a strong focus on WebdriverIO and TypeScript.
- Advanced expertise in UI automation, DOM debugging, XPath creation, and cross-browser testing.
- Strong experience in API automation , including test design and validation.
- Hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications (UI flows, integrations, data handling, permissions).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming, and clean coding practices.
- Experience building and maintaining automation pipelines in Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Bitbucket or similar Git-based version control systems.
- Strong knowledge of Jira for requirement tracking, test management, and defect reporting.
- Familiarity with testing standards, best practices, and scalable test architecture design.
