Territory Sales Manager vaccancy for Ernakulam area

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to manage and expand sales across Modern Trade (MT), General Trade (GT), and institutional channels like Supplyco, Police Canteens, and Triveni Depots. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in channel sales, distributor handling, account management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:1. Modern Trade (MT) Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key MT chains (e.g., Reliance, More, Lulu, etc.).
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and planogram compliance.
  • Negotiate listings, promotions, and secondary displays with buyers.
  • Execute in-store promotions, schemes, and activations.
  • Monitor and report on MT sales performance and ROI.

2. General Trade (GT):

  • Manage and expand distributor and retailer network within the territory.
  • Ensure secondary sales targets are achieved across GT channels.
  • Monitor distributor stock levels, timely order processing, and credit management.
  • Implement trade marketing activities and schemes effectively.

3. Institutional Channels (Supplyco, Police Canteen, Triveni Depots):

  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional buyers and procurement authorities.
  • Handle registration, documentation, product listing, and tendering processes.
  • Track and manage institutional orders, dispatches, and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing and supply norms.

Sales Planning & Execution:

  • Develop monthly/quarterly sales plans in line with business goals.
  • Track primary and secondary sales; monitor KPIs like coverage, productivity, and stock rotation.
  • Conduct regular market visits and beat planning for the sales team.

People & Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Sales Officers, Promoters, and Merchandisers (if applicable).
  • Conduct regular training, market working, and performance reviews.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate sales reports, market intelligence, and competitor activity tracking.
  • Submit weekly/monthly sales forecasts and plans to the management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Graduate
  • Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in FMCG/consumer goods, with a strong exposure to MT, GT, and institutional sales.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PPT).
  • Knowledge of local geography and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the territory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
