Job Description

Job Purpose:

To grow revenue and market presence within the assigned territory by building strong relationships with healthcare providers, driving prescription and referral sales for diagnostic services, and ensuring service excellence through coordinated support with internal teams. The role involves a combination of strategic sales planning, client servicing, and field execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Identify, approach, and onboard new clients including doctors, clinics, hospitals, and wellness centers.
  • Promote specialized diagnostic tests (e.g., pathology, molecular, preventive, oncology) and increase test penetration across accounts.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets and daily call activity KPIs.

Relationship Management

  • Maintain and strengthen ongoing relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for doctors and clients to address service issues, technical clarifications, and report queries.
  • Regularly meet key accounts to reinforce engagement and upsell packages or new offerings.

Territory Planning & Field Activity

  • Create and follow a structured route plan and daily call schedule to cover the assigned geography.
  • Monitor competition activities and collect market intelligence to report back to leadership.
  • Participate in CMEs, doctor engagement programs, and marketing events organized in the territory.

Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Collaborate with Phlebotomy, Logistics, Customer Support, and Lab teams to ensure smooth end-to-end service delivery.
  • Track and resolve client grievances related to sample pick-up, TAT, quality, or billing concerns.

Revenue Collection & Documentation

  • Follow up on payment collections from credit clients and ensure timely reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales calls, feedback, and follow-up actions in CRM systems or MIS formats.

Reporting & Review

  • Submit daily activity reports, funnel updates, and territory performance summaries to the Area Business Manager.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 24 ears of field sales experience, preferably in the diagnostics, pharma, pathology lab, or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and digital engagement platforms (optional but preferred).
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
