Job Title: Territory Head (Second Level Leadership Role) Industry: Insurance / BFSI Experience: 7 to 12 Years (Minimum 5 years in team management) Location: [Insert Location] Qualification: Graduate (Post Graduate preferred) Job Purpose: The Territory Head (TH) is a Second Level Leadership (SLL) role, responsible for delivering business goals within the assigned territory, including revenue growth, cost efficiency, and team development. The role also focuses on maintaining strategic partnerships with channel partner leadership teams and ensuring consistent, high-level business engagement. Key Responsibilities: Maintain strong, professional relationships with channel partner leaders (Branch Heads, Cluster Heads, Circle Heads, TPP teams) to minimize escalations and ensure service issue resolution within defined TATs. Drive key sales KPIs : top-line growth, market share, product mix (Term & UpSell), SLG, 13th-month persistency, and attrition control. Plan and execute monthly/quarterly travel schedules to engage with teams and support territory objectives. Lead and develop First Level Leaders (FLLs) Corporate Sales Managers (CSMs/Sr. CSMs)—ensuring their effective management of Front Line Sales (FLS) teams. Invest in developing FLL competencies, leading to stronger team productivity and channel partner engagement . Ensure 100% team manning by actively recruiting through referrals. Oversee 0–6 month FLS onboarding and engagement , ensuring timely support and successful probation completion through structured On-the-Job Training. Manage multiple priorities including Sales Management Process (SMP), Login-to-Conversion hygiene, organizational initiatives, contests, and business performance reviews. Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals. Preferred Skills: Strong sales strategy, team leadership , and channel partner management . High ambition and drive to meet and exceed business objectives with quality and consistency. Strong data analysis and business MIS skills, including dashboard creation and review. Proficiency in stakeholder communication and influence , both internally and externally.
